Brendan Simmons

Brendan Simmons is a seasoned professional in foundation relations and institutional giving, currently serving as the Director of Foundation Relations at the Bipartisan Policy Center since October 2024. Prior to this role, Brendan held various positions at the Atlantic Council, including Director of Foundation Partnerships and Deputy Director of Foundation and Institutional Giving, from November 2018 to October 2024. Brendan started with experience as a Foundation Relations Associate at Defenders of Wildlife and as a Donor Relations Specialist at Equal Justice Works. Early career roles included support positions at the Partnership for a Secure America and the National Security Network. Brendan holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in History and Russian from the University of Maryland and has also studied at Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University.
