Jordan Simmons

Communications Intern at Bipartisan Policy Center

Jordan Simmons currently serves as a Congressional Legislative Fellow at the U.S. House of Representatives, focusing on global policy issues and supporting Congresswoman Cori Bush through policy memos and recommendations. Previously, Jordan gained extensive experience in academia as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis, working on various sociological topics including COVID-19 responses and the reinforcement of gender and racial norms. Jordan has also contributed to the National Peace Corps Association's communications efforts and has completed internships in congressional and local government settings, along with tutoring for ACT preparation. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University, Jordan holds a Bachelor's degree in Global Studies with minors in Spanish and Sociology from Washington University in St. Louis.

Founded in 2007 by former Senate Majority Leaders Howard Baker, Tom Daschle, Bob Dole and George Mitchell, the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is a non-profit organization that drives principled solutions through rigorous analysis, reasoned negotiation and respectful dialogue. With projects in multiple issue areas, BPC combines politically-balancedpolicymaking with strong, proactive advocacy and outreach.As the only Washington, DC-based think tank that actively promotes bipartisanship, BPC works to address the key challenges facing the nation. Through the Democracy Project and events like Bridge-Builder Breakfasts, political summits and timely policy discussions, BPC is fostering an ongoing conversation about how to overcome political divides and help make our government work better.
