Matthew Weil

Executive Director, Democracy Program at Bipartisan Policy Center

Matthew Weil serves as the Executive Director of the Democracy Program at the Bipartisan Policy Center since February 2013, overseeing various initiatives related to democracy policy, elections, and government structures. Previously, Matthew held key positions including Director of the Elections Project and Senior Associate Director at the Democracy Project within BPC. Prior to that, Matthew worked as a Media Affairs Specialist at the U.S. Treasury and as a Research and Program Analyst at the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. Matthew’s early career includes a role as a Research Assistant at the American Enterprise Institute, contributing to numerous research projects and publications. Academically, Matthew holds a Master of Science in Government Analytics from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
