Chris MacKay

Chris Mackay is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in editorial and digital product development. Currently serving as a Senior Sub-Editor at Aberdeen Journals since June 2013, Chris also holds the position of Director at BIPOLAR SCOTLAND since October 2021. Previous roles include Digital Product Developer at Guardian Media Group, where Chris contributed to the launch of The Guardian's iPad edition, and Deputy Art Director (News), playing a key role in the redesign of The Guardian's Berliner format. Chris began a career in journalism at DC Thomson from 1991 to 1996, initially as a sub-editor while also writing music and drama critiques. Educational background includes training at DC Thomson Publishing in journalism and attendance at Brechin High School.
