Matthew Sturiale

President & CEO at Birch Family Services

Matthew Sturiale is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 35 years of experience supporting individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, their families, and the staff who work with them. His early years as a Direct Support Professional and Supervisor of residential programs motivated him to become an advocate and subsequently, a respected leader with all constituency groups. Prior to being appointed President and CEO at Birch Family Services in 2016, a good portion of Matt’s career was spent at YAI assuming progressive senior and executive responsibilities, including the role of Interim CEO.

Over the course of his career, Matt has been an active participant on such critical workgroups as Care Coordination, Managed Care Readiness, Public Policy, Residential, and Early Childhood Education. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors for New York Integrated Network (NYIN), Care Design NY, and the Inter-Agency Council of NY. He also serves on the Board of Representatives for ANCOR. He previously served on the Boards of Directors for the NY Alliance, NYC Gay and Lesbian Anti-Violence Project, and NY Metro Chapter of NADD.
