Brian Miller

Brian Miller is currently an advisor at Birch Tree Communities. Prior to that, they worked as a principal systems engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems from December 2018 to October 2019. In their previous role, they were responsible for providing technical architecture and design, DevOps support, and team leadership to an 18-person team.

Miller has experience in coordinating with user-interface design teams, clients, and users to understand use cases and requirements. Brian is also skilled in providing DevOps support for the team development and test environments and SDLC support tools including Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket/Git, Sharepoint, Oracle DB support, and Linux administration.

Additionally, Miller has participated in design, code, and test plan reviews to ensure quality of the applications. Brian has also served as the internal product owner to continue to refine and prioritize the backlog and facilitate iteration and sprint planning sessions. In their previous role, they also fostered process and team improvement while mentoring and guiding junior team members.
