Allison Swaap

Allison Swaap is a dedicated educational professional with extensive experience in teaching and support roles. Currently serving as a High School Learning Specialist at The Birch Wathen Lenox School since August 2022, Swaap previously worked as a 5th Grade Teacher at Public Preparatory Network from September 2019 to August 2022, and as a Secondary English Teacher at Bronx Bridges High School from August 2016 to September 2019. Swaap began a teaching career with Teach For America, where participation included selective admission among 48,000 applicants and intensive training. Early experience included roles as a Bunk Counselor and Land Sports Coach at Camp Vega from June 2013 to August 2015 and as a Teaching Assistant at Epiphany Community Preschool from May 2013 to 2015. Swaap holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Tulane University and a Master of Education in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Relay Graduate School of Education.
