Tim Steer

Tim Steer has over 18 years of work experience in various roles. Tim started their career in 2002 as a Senior Tutor at NumberWorks Burnside, followed by a role as an Undergraduate Tutor at the University of Canterbury in 2004. In 2005, they joined Infiniti Capital as a Quantitative Analyst, and was later promoted to Senior Quantitative Analyst and Head of Quantitative Research. In 2010, they moved to EY as a Senior Consultant, where they consulted on Treasury risk, liquidity, valuation and hedge accounting, and conducted complex quantitative modelling across the banking, investment and corporate sectors. In 2012, they joined Deloitte Australia as a Manager - Treasury & Capital Markets. In 2015, they were appointed as Treasury Risk & Compliance Manager at Transurban, and in 2019 they joined Australian Unity as Assistant Group Treasurer. Currently, they are the Chief Financial Officer at Birchal, a position they have held since 2022.

Tim Steer completed a BCom (1st Class Hons) in Operations Research at the University of Canterbury between 2002 and 2005.
