Alex Place

Project Manager at Bird

Alex Place has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They began their career in 2017 as an Assistant Project Manager Trainee at the Ontario Clean Water Agency. In 2018, they worked as a Project Coordinator at Bird Construction for a few months. In 2019, they joined Bird Construction again as a Project Coordinator. In 2020, they worked as a Site Supervisor at Flagship Construction. From 2017 to 2020, they also worked as a Bartender at Dalhousie University. Most recently, in 2021, they returned to Bird Construction as an Assistant Project Manager and later transitioned to the role of Project Manager in 2022.

Alex Place graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering in 2019. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2017, Alex completed a Diploma in Engineering in Civil Engineering at Dalhousie University as well. In addition to their degrees, Alex has obtained the WHMIS 2015 for Workers certification from the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety in September 2017, and the WasteWater Operator Licence from the Ontario Water Wastewater Certification Office in June 2017.
