Soofia Shahzad

Soofia Shahzad has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Their most recent position was as a substitute teacher at Brandon School, where they started in March 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an instructional intern at Louis Riel School Division and as a substitute teacher at LRSD, RETSD. In 2018, they also gained experience as a payroll assistant at Bird Construction and as a payroll officer at DASCH Inc. Soofia started their career as a payroll intern at IBEX Payroll in 2017. Before transitioning to the education and payroll fields, Soofia worked at The Great West Life from 2015 to 2017, mainly in the mail department. Soofia also briefly volunteered as a classroom assistant at Manitoba Start in 2015. Soofia had an extensive tenure at The City School Official, starting as a teacher in October 2003 and progressing to roles such as senior mistress and branch head before leaving in August 2015.

Soofia Shahzad's education history begins in 1990 when they enrolled at Karachi University. Soofia pursued a Master's degree in Microbiology, General and completed their studies in 1995. In 2012, Soofia attended the Government College of Education in Karachi, Pakistan, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Education (BEd) focused on teaching English, Islamiat, and computer studies. Soofia continued their education at Robertson College from 2016 to 2017, where they pursued a degree in Accounting and Payroll Administration with a focus on Accounting and Finance. Finally, in 2019, Soofia attended The University of Winnipeg, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Education (BEd).
