Sofia Kang

Sofia Kang has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry starting in 2000 as a Fashion Designer at DTLA. Sofia then worked as a Technical Designer and 1st Pattern Maker at Style Design and Pattern Service from 2007-2009. Afterwards, they were the Head of Design at Freeloader from 2010-2012. Sofia then became the Head of Design and Product Development at S2K2, Inc. from 2012-2015. In 2015, they founded their own company, Filosofia, where they worked as Founder/Designer until 2019. From 2019-2021, they worked at Lulus.com as a Senior Technical Designer and was later promoted to Technical Design Manager until they left in 2023 to become the Director of Technical Design at Birdy Grey.

Sofia Kang earned their Associate of Arts degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from FIDM. Sofia also obtained certifications in 3D Transformation, CLO 3D, and Textile Appreciation from MOTIF, but the specific months and years when they earned these certifications are unknown.
