Muthu De Silva

Muthu De Silva is a distinguished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as Head/Associate Dean for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange at the Faculty of Business and Law at Birkbeck, University of London since January 2018, Muthu has held various titles including Full Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Assistant Dean for Research. Muthu's involvement extends to several prestigious roles such as Honorary Professor at SLIIT, Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Aberdeen, and Honorary Fellow at InnoLab, University of Vaasa. Additional contributions include consultative positions with the OECD and the British Academy, as well as participation in various advisory panels. Muthu holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, and Innovation from Manchester Business School and an MBA in Business Management from the University of Bradford, complemented by a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Business Management from the University of Peradeniya.
