Maggie Gibson

Head Of Learner Development, Education Development Service at Birmingham City University

Maggie Gibson has been the Head of Learner Development at Birmingham City University since April 2002, leading the Centre for Academic Success to foster an inclusive learning environment and enhance academic literacy for all students. Previously, as an Academic Skills Tutor, Maggie provided targeted support in mathematics and academic writing to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Maggie's teaching career began at Bewdley High School, where mathematics was taught at both GCSE and A level. Educational qualifications include a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics Teaching from Keele University, a Master of Science in Industrial Logistics from Birmingham City University, and a Bachelor of Science with honors in Mathematics and Electronic Music from Keele University.
