Mark Hopton

Mark is an alumnus of Birmingham City University. He retired in late 2012 from a career with leading global professional services firm, KPMG, where he was Chairman and Senior Partner of the Midland Region until 2007 and then held leadership responsibilities in the EMEA Region until his retirement.

Mark is passionate about public and charitable service and investing time in his community. As well as his appointment as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Governors at Birmingham City University effective from April 2015, he is currently Chairman of the Governors and Trustees at Solihull School and Chairman of Trustees of Acorns Children's Hospice Trust.
