Dan Barlow has a strong background in sport science and performance. Dan started their career as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Barlow Consulting in 2001 before moving on to become the Director of Sport Science and Performance at Real Salt Lake from 2007 to 2016. Dan then served as a Fitness Coach at the New England Revolution from January to April 2017. From December 2017 to November 2018, they worked as a Fitness Coach for the US Men's National Team at the US Soccer Federation. Dan currently holds the position of Director of Sport Science and Performance at Birmingham Legion FC, a role they have held since November 2018. Prior to their coaching roles, they worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and a Graduate Assistant for Fitness at the University of Maryland from 1997 to 2001.
Dan Barlow completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Bethany College from 1987 to 1992. Dan then pursued further education and obtained their Master's degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Maryland from 1997 to 2000.
