Kurt Hickson

Kurt Hickson is an experienced technical and install technician with a strong background in the arts sector. Currently serving as Technical Director at Coventry Biennial Ltd since August 2017, Kurt also holds multiple roles including Install Technician at Birmingham Museums Trust, Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park, and the University of Birmingham, all since 2018. Additional experience includes a long-term position as Gallery Technician at the Royal Shakespeare Company and Visual Arts Technician at Midlands Arts Centre, both ongoing since 2012. Kurt's career in art handling started at Ikon Gallery in 2007 and has included significant projects as a fabricator/technician for Queen & Crawford. Kurt's academic background includes a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Liverpool John Moores University, completed in 2006.
