Lynsey Rutter is an experienced professional in community engagement and museum studies, currently serving as the Community Engagement Team Leader at Birmingham Museums Trust since January 2012. Responsibilities include creating opportunities for local communities to interact with nine museum sites and ensuring regular consultation and ownership for community members. Previously, Lynsey held the position of Participation Coordinator, leading programs for audience involvement, including volunteer opportunities and youth forums. Earlier experience includes working as a Gallery Enabler at Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum, where Lynsey contributed to informal learning and developed gallery activity sessions. Academically, Lynsey Rutter holds a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology from the University of Bristol.
