Zak Mensah

Zak Mensah has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Zak is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Birmingham Museums Trust, where they collaboratively set the organization's direction. Prior to this, they worked at Bristol City Council from 2013 to 2020, holding various leadership positions such as Head of Transformation and Head of Digital. At Bristol City Council, Zak oversaw multidisciplinary teams, managed budgets, and led strategy for business and digital development. Before joining Bristol City Council, Zak owned their own company, Tribehut, from 2003 to 2014. Zak has also worked as a JISC Advisor, providing guidance on digital technologies in education, and as a Learning Technologist at the University of Leicester. Overall, Zak's expertise lies in strategic leadership, digital transformation, and staff development.

Zak Mensah has a 1st Class BA in Multimedia Computing from Coventry University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Zak also holds additional certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in 2015, Certified Membership (CMALT) from Association for Learning Technology, UK in 2011, and PRINCE2 Project Management practitioner qualification from Carnegie Enterprise in 2009.
