Virginia Gilbert Loftin currently serves as the Vice President for Advancement and Communication at Birmingham-Southern College since June 2017. Previously held leadership roles at the Delta Zeta Foundation, including Trustee and President, and contributed significantly to the University of Alabama at Birmingham in various capacities, such as Assistant Vice President for Development Communications and Principal Gifts. Virginia also served as Senior Director of Development at UAB School of Medicine and Director of Development and Alumni Affairs at the UAB School of Nursing. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Communications at Cumberland School of Law, Lifestyle and Entertainment Editor at The Birmingham News, and several editorial positions in media. Virginia holds a B.A. in Communications from The University of Alabama.
