Sally Morton is an experienced HR professional currently serving as the People Team Manager at Birmingham Hospice since July 2017. Prior to this role, Sally held the position of Assistant HR Business Partner at Sense from January 2014 to June 2017. Sally's early career includes various roles at Rethink Mental Illness from May 2003 to December 2013, including HR Advisor, Employee Relations Officer, and HR Administrator. Beginning in the NHS as a Clerical Assistant from July 1999 to September 2002, Sally has developed a strong foundation in human resources. Sally holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of Wolverhampton, a Certificate in Leadership & Management from Open Road Learning, and a BA (Hons) in Business Management from the University of Wolverhampton. Educational qualifications also include 4 A Levels and 10 GCSEs graded A-C from earlier schooling.

Birmingham Hospice
Birmingham Hospice is the new name for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and John Taylor Hospice. We are the primary provider of adult hospice care in Birmingham, providing expert palliative and end of life care to local people living with terminal diagnosis - at our hospice, in the community, or in their own homes, wherever home may be. We are also here to support families, carers and loved ones through the most difficult times of their lives. All of our services are free of charge to everyone that uses them however, lack of government funding means we are struggling to keep up with spiralling costs, making it harder for us to care for everyone who needs it. This year, we estimate it could cost £20 million to run Birmingham Hospice. 60% of this comes from the NHS, the remaining 40% has to be raised through fundraising activity, income from our shops and voluntary donations. We desperately need your help to provide vital palliative and end of life care in your local community.
