Daniel Kraus

Vice President Of Strategic Partnerships at Birthright Israel Foundation

Daniel Kraus has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Daniel currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Birthright Israel Foundation, a position they have held since October 2017. Prior to this, they were the Director of Strategic Partnerships at the same organization since December 2015.

Before joining Birthright Israel Foundation, Daniel worked at Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun from 2012 onwards. Daniel'srole there was as a Rabbi and Director of Community Education, where they focused on leading and developing the KJ Beginners program, while also overseeing other initiatives such as PJ@KJ and the Hebrew School.

From 2009 to 2015, Daniel was the Founder and Operations & Strategy Lead at Koshertopia. Daniel played a key role in setting up and managing the company during its initial years.

Daniel also had experience at Manhattan Jewish Experience (MJE), where they served as the Chief Operating Officer from April 2011 to April 2013. Daniel was responsible for overseeing the organization's operations during their tenure.

Earlier in their career, Daniel held positions at Manhattan Jewish Experience, first as the Director of Downtown from December 2005 to July 2012, and later as a member of the Programming & Educational Staff from January 2005 to December 2007.

Lastly, Daniel's work experience includes a role as the Vice President of Australina Union of Jewish Students (AUJS) from December 2000 to February 2002.

Throughout their career, Daniel has demonstrated a strong commitment to community leadership and strategic partnerships.

Daniel Kraus has a diverse educational background. Daniel obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Yeshiva University between 2013 and 2015. Prior to that, they pursued Rabbinics at Yeshiva University from 2009 to 2011, taking courses in Jewish Leadership and Rabbinics. Daniel also holds a Bachelor's degree in Management from Yeshiva University, which they earned from 2004 to 2007. Additionally, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance at Monash University from 2001 to 2004.

In terms of additional certifications, Daniel obtained a certification in Business Strategy from Section4 in January 2022. Daniel also obtained a certification in Addressing Child Abuse from the Gunderen National Child Protection Training Center in June 2015.
