Ruvym Gilman has significant experience in legal affairs and business operations. Ruvym started their career as a Legal Assistant at HBO, where they drafted memoranda addressing programming issues and ensured compliance with obscenity laws. Ruvym then worked at the law firm K&L Gates as an Intellectual Property Associate, where they drafted various license agreements and litigated cases involving trademark and trade dress infringement.
In 2008, Gilman joined NEXT: A Division of Birthright Israel Foundation as a Legal & Business Affairs Manager. Ruvym oversaw the business and legal activities of national staff, managed relationships with affiliate cities, and negotiated partnership agreements.
Gilman continued their career at Birthright Israel Foundation, where they held several roles. As Director, Legal Affairs & Business Operations, they were responsible for managing legal matters and business operations. As Associate Vice President, Legal Affairs & Business Operations, they played a crucial role in overseeing legal affairs and business operations. Currently, they serve as the General Counsel, negotiating and drafting various agreements, providing legal counsel, and managing internships.
Throughout their career, Gilman has gained extensive experience in contract negotiation, intellectual property licensing, legal compliance, and international program management.
Ruvym Gilman completed their BA in English and Politics from New York University in 2003. Ruvym pursued further education at the New York University School of Law from 2003 to 2006, earning a J.D. with a specialization in Intellectual Property Law.
