Katherine Spitler has an extensive background in graphic design. Katherine began their career in 2007 as a Designer for Adworks, a completely student-run agency. In 2010, they interned at AgencyND, a web and print design agency within the Office of Public Affairs and Communications at the University of Notre Dame. In 2011, they became a Graphic Designer for the University of Notre Dame. In 2013, they were an Art Coordinator and then an Art Director for Jaymie Scotto & Associates. In 2015, they co-founded Realtus Creative, LLC, where they provided conceptual architectural design and graphic design services. Katherine also provided temporary graphic design support to Invest Buffalo Niagara and Bak USA that year. In 2017, they became the Brand and Design Supervisor for Goldberg Segalla, where they supervised the Graphic Design team and managed the firm's visual brand guidelines. In 2021, they became a Creative Manager for Word On Fire Catholic Ministries and a Graphic Designer at Ward Hardware, Inc. for The Mom Project.
Katherine Spitler obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Notre Dame between 2006 and 2010. Katherine also studied at John Cabot University in 2008, though no degree was earned. In 2016 and 2017, they earned a Full Stack Web Development Certification from freeCodeCamp in Computer Software Engineering. In addition, they obtained an Inbound Certification from HubSpot in February 2017 and has a Front-End Foundations Certification from Code School.
