Amanda Ruggs-Owens

Amanda Ruggs-Owens currently serves as the Assistant Director of Recruitment & Student Success at Bishop State Community College, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this, Amanda held various recruitment roles at the University of South Alabama, including Assistant Director of New Student Recruitment and Admissions Officer, from May 2022 to January 2024 and August 2020 to May 2022, respectively. Amanda's experience also includes positions at Spring Hill College, where responsibilities encompassed both undergraduate and graduate admissions, and Colorado State University Global as an Enrollment Counselor. With a background in outreach and enrollment management, Amanda has demonstrated a commitment to student recruitment and retention throughout their career, supported by a Master's degree in Human Environmental Sciences from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University.
