Victor Crego Prieto

Victor Crego Prieto has been working in the field of Business Intelligence since 2021, when they began working as a Business Intelligence Consultant for Bismart, Business Intelligence Specialist Services. Victor has also been working as a Data Scientist for IZERTIS since 2021, where their tasks include identifying business needs, suggesting the best technology, and analyzing operational and analytical information. From 2017 to 2021, Victor worked as a Data Scientist for Clarcat, where they were involved in machine learning and artificial intelligence projects with AWS. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Data Analyst for PROMETEO Innovations, where their responsibilities included project design and management, as well as data analytics. From 2010 to 2016, Victor was a Scientist and Ph.D. student at Universidad de Oviedo, where their thesis was co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Eva Garcia-Vazquez. Victor also completed trainee student internships at the Laboratory of Genetics of natural resources at the University of Oviedo and at the Central Universitary Hospital of Asturias (HUCA).

Victor Crego Prieto has a diverse education history. From 2004 to 2009, they obtained a Licenciatura in Biología/Ciencias biológicas, general from Universidad de Oviedo. In 2009 to 2010, they completed a Master's degree in Genética molecular, Biología marina from the same university. In 2010 to 2014, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Genetic ecology from Universidad de Oviedo. In 2015 to 2016, they completed a Specialization program on Big Data analysis in Statistics from UC San Diego, as well as a course in English from ABA English. Additionally, Victor has obtained several certifications, including a Tableau Certified Associate Consultant from Tableau Software in 2021, a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in 2020, a Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate from Microsoft in 2022, an Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2019, a Google Analytics IQ (Individual Qualification) from Google in 2017, a Big Data (2016) Specialization from Coursera Course Certificates in 2015, a Boating License (sailboat and motorboat; 6m (20feet) & 55CV) from Federación de Vela del Principado de Asturias (Sailing Federation of Asturias) in 2010, a Diver course: Scientific Diving from Club Aquanau in 2013, a One Star Diver (B1E), FEDAS CMAS from Club Orca in 2011, and an Open Water Diver, ACUC from Club Atlantis in 2012.
