Sara Gomes has a diverse work experience in the scientific and research field. Sara joined bit.bio in 2019 and currently holds the position of Senior Scientist - Clinical Translation. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientist - Cell Type Development at bit.bio from October 2019 to November 2021.
Before joining bit.bio, Sara worked at Universitätsklinik Würzburg as a PhD Student / Researcher from June 2016 to July 2019. During their PhD work, they focused on establishing induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPSC)-derived brain Endothelial Cells as an in vitro cellular model to study Neisseria meningitidis infection.
