Chris Mate is a co-founder and president of Bit Fry Game Studios, Inc., a company that focuses on digital sports entertainment and engagement. Chris has been with Bit Fry since June 2014. Prior to that, from December 2013 to March 2018, Chris worked at Enhanced Digital Solutions, where they provided consulting services and worked on product design, development, distribution, and monetization. From February 2008 to December 2013, they served as the Vice President of Interactive Products at National Geographic, leading strategic planning, product development, and deployment. Chris was the Vice President of Business Development at Power Challenge AB from April 2007 to February 2008, responsible for IP audit, game play design, and advertising monetization efforts. From August 1998 to May 2006, they were the Vice President of Publishing at Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., overseeing the development, marketing, and distribution of digital entertainment products. As the Managing Director of Empire Interactive from May 1994 to July 1998, Chris developed and managed the company's initiative to enter the North American interactive entertainment market. Chris also held positions as the Director of Licensing and OEM at MicroProse Software from June 1992 to April 1994 and as the Director of Marketing and Sales at Bethesda Softworks from April 1989 to May 1992. Chris started their career as a National Accounts Manager at Simon & Schuster Software from February 1984 to March 1989, where they were responsible for sales and channel marketing.

Chris Mate attended Guilford College from 1980 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Administration with a focus on Justice.
