Soichiro Tsuda

Soichiro Tsuda has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Soichiro began their career as a PhD student at Kobe University and later worked as a research fellow at the University of Southampton. During their time at the University of Southampton, they developed innovative technologies such as the first-ever Electrical Impedance Tomography system for single-cell imaging and a restorable whole-cell biosensor using Physarum polycephalum. Tsuda then joined the Japan Science and Technology Agency as a Research Fellow before becoming a Lord Kelvin Adam Smith Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow.

In 2018, Tsuda became an Associate Professor at Osaka University, where they not only conducted research but also played a pivotal role in managing the university's Humanware Innovation Program. This program was highly regarded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) due to outstanding student publications and activities. Tsuda then became a JSPS LEADER program fellow at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science before transitioning to their role as the Application Development Manager at On-chip biotechnologies, Co, Ltd. In this role, they were responsible for developing applications for the company's main products and expanding the business to customers in the US, China, and Europe.

Most recently, Tsuda joined bitBiome, Inc. as the Chief Technology Officer and previously served as the Executive Officer and Head of R&D. As the CTO, they bring their extensive knowledge and expertise to lead the company's technological advancements and contribute to its overall success.

Soichiro Tsuda received their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Kobe University from 1998 to 2002. During the same period, they also pursued and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biology, General from Kobe University.
