Qaasim Abdul has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Qaasim has worked as the Head of Finance and ICT at various organizations, including The Foundation for Investing in Communities, Business in the Community Ireland, and The Community Foundation for Ireland. Prior to these roles, Qaasim held the position of Finance & IT Manager at YAP Ireland and was responsible for managing the financial and IT aspects of the organization. Qaasim also served as a Management Accountant at Focus Ireland, where they handled financial operations. Earlier in their career, Qaasim worked at Ikea (UK) Ltd, initially as a Trainee Customer Services Manager and later as a Customer Services Manager Trainee and a Customer Services Co-Worker. Qaasim also gained experience as a Peer Support Coordinator at London Metropolitan University and provided logistical and warehouse support at Irish Express Cargo.
Qaasim Abdul earned a Bsc in Accounting & Banking from London Metropolitan University from 2000 to 2003. In 2005 to 2008, they completed the ACCA program at Griffith College Dublin. Then in 2009 to 2010, they pursued another ACCA program at Dublin Business School. In 2015, Qaasim obtained a Certificate in Charity Law, Trusteeship & Governance with a focus on SORP (FRS 102) Adaptation from the Law Society of Ireland. Moreover, they obtained a Certificate in "Keeping up with Change: Issues for the Finance Professional" in 2016, from the University of London. This course was offered through Coursera Course Certificates.
