Svetlozar Spirdonov

Svetlozar Spirdonov has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Svetlozar is currently the Head of KYC platform at Bitfinex, where they are responsible for defining the product vision, managing product development, and supporting the development team.

Prior to their current role, Svetlozar worked at Paysafe Group, where they served as a Senior Product Manager for Identity and Verification Services. Svetlozar also held the position of Product Owner for Risk, KYC, and Compliance and was responsible for assisting the KYC Team Manager in monitoring and managing the KYC process effectiveness.

Before joining Paysafe Group, Svetlozar worked at ProCredit Bank (Bulgaria) as an Expert in Internet Banking and Private Clients Department. Svetlozar started their career at Coca-Cola HBC as a Market Developer.

Throughout their career, Svetlozar has demonstrated their expertise in product management, risk and compliance, fraud detection, and internet banking.

Svetlozar Spirdonov obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Economics - Varna, which they attended from 2005 to 2009. Svetlozar furthered their education by pursuing a Master's degree in Finance and Banking at "St.Cyril and Methodius University" from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, Svetlozar attended the ProCredit Regional Academy in Macedonia to study Managing, Banking, and Humanities, although the specific dates of attendance are unknown.

In terms of certifications, Svetlozar obtained the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in December 2020. Prior to that, in December 2019, they received the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from Scrum Alliance. In August 2018, Svetlozar obtained the ICA Certificate in KYC and CDD from the International Compliance Association.
