José Andrés Hernández Elizalde

José Andrés Hernández Elizalde is the current Alpha - Product Manager Liquidity at Bitso. José has also previously worked at Bitso as the Financial Manager International Expansion from February 2019 to September 2020 and as the Financial Manager from November 2016 to January 2019.

As the Financial Manager International Expansion, José was responsible for financial modeling to forecast profitability and fee schedule for the Argentinean entities. This model was also used to calculate the initial capitalization of each jurisdiction. José was also in charge of selection and pricing negotiation with 6 different vendors in Argentina to keep in line with the pre-operational budget of USD $1MM.

As the Financial Manager, José was responsible for financial modeling to forecast revenues and expenses, burn rate and war chest analysis. These numbers were presented to the board with recommendations. José was also in charge of strategic analysis to determine the new fee schedule, where the maximum fee was reduced 50% and still the company made the same average fee per trade. In addition, they did market analysis to determine the potential volume that can be traded in the platform by including three additional tokens. These assets brought USD 19,000 of additional daily volume. Lastly, they managed the treasury of USD $5MM, where policies like a 60/40 fiat-crypto ratio were proposed and implemented to guarantee operations for twelve months.
