James Sullivan

James Sullivan has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. James has held various leadership roles in legal and compliance departments. James served as the Global General Counsel at Bitstamp, where they were responsible for overseeing legal, risk, compliance, and governance across multiple regions. Prior to that, they worked at Ziglu as the Chief Risk & Legal Officer and later as the Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel, where they played a key role in the organization's growth and expansion. James also held leadership positions at NCM Fund Services Ltd, Monzo Bank, Funderbeam, Cromwell Property Group, and Valad Europe, where they gained extensive experience in legal and regulatory matters in the financial and property sectors. Additionally, they have experience as an Advisory Board Member at tlb. and as a Managing Director at PILinvests. James began their career as a Senior Corporate Legal Counsel at Telia Company.

James Sullivan has a diverse education history with a focus on business, law, and finance. In 1990, they enrolled at the University of Exeter, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in French with Italian. James completed their undergraduate studies in 1994. Following this, James attended The University of Law, where they obtained a Common Professional Examination degree in 1995 and later a Legal Practice Course degree in 1996.

In 2002, James returned to academia and attended King's College London, where they pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in UK, EC and US Law of Copyright & Related Rights. James completed this program in 2003. Continuing their interest in law and finance, James obtained an Investment Management Certificate from the CFA Institute in 2008. James further enhanced their financial expertise by acquiring CFA (Level 1) certification from the same institution in 2010.

Expanding their knowledge in business administration, James pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Bayes Business School from 2011 to 2013. Besides their formal education, they obtained a Professional Solicitor certification from the Solicitors Regulation Authority in September 1998.
