Erin Venno

Erin Venno is currently the Product Owner at Bitwerx. Prior to that, they worked as the Sector Relations Manager & Apprenticeship Success Coordinator at Kinexus from November 2017 to February 2022. In this role, they were responsible for developing relationships across industries, convening partners to identify common workforce needs, and creating collaborative solutions for critical industries. Erin was also awarded multiple grants to bring first healthcare apprenticeships to the tri-county region and managed operations for The LINK, a Business Resource Network.

Before their work at Kinexus, Erin was a Corrections Officer/Field Training Officer at the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office from September 2012 to November 2017. As a corrections officer, they were responsible for enforcing rules and maintaining order within the jail. This included searches for contraband, accurate report keeping, and overseeing relationships among inmates. Erin was also in a unique position to reduce recidivism.

Erin is a certified Field Training Officer (through DeWolf & Associates) and the youngest in Van Buren County. Erin is responsible and liable for making sure our recruits are made into the best solo officers they can be.

Erin Venno has a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications and Marketing from Western Michigan University. Erin also has a certification from LinkedIn in Project Leadership, Excel: PivotTables for Beginners, and Leading with Emotional Intelligence.
