Elliot Thomas has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2017, Elliot volunteered as a Research Assistant at the Hunter Medical Research Institute for over two years, where they gained experience in cancer research and reproductive science. In 2019, Elliot also interned at the Singapore National Eye Centre, assisting with the development of machine learning material for eye analysis.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Elliot worked as a Visiting Scholar and Intern at FLEDGE Innovation Labs in 2019-2020, conducting independent research on the relationship between pulse transit time and blood pressure. Concurrently, Elliot was also a Student Success Partner at the University of Newcastle, providing academic guidance and mentorship to at-risk students.

In 2018, Elliot assumed leadership roles at the Society of Medical Innovation and Technology (SoMIT), serving as the President in 2020 and the Academic Director in 2019. During their time with SoMIT, they organized educational events focused on medical technology and facilitated networking opportunities for students.

From 2020 to 2023, Elliot worked at Genesys Electronics Design as both an Undergraduate Engineer and a Graduate Engineer, gaining practical experience in engineering. Following that, they worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Design + Industry before joining BiVACOR Inc in 2023 as a Software Engineer.

Throughout their career, Elliot has demonstrated a passion for technology, research, and education, and has contributed to various organizations and projects in their field.

Elliot Thomas attended the University of Newcastle from 2018 to 2021, where they pursued a Bachelor of Medical Engineering (Honours) degree with a specialization in Medical Devices. In 2019, they also had the opportunity to study at Nanyang Technological University Singapore for one year as part of their program.

In addition to their academic achievements, Elliot has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills. In June 2021, they completed the Altium Designer 20 - Advanced course offered by Altium®, a renowned institution in the field. Prior to that, in May 2021, they successfully completed the Altium Designer 21 - Essentials program. Furthermore, Elliot obtained a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management in April 2019 from Barrington Training Services.
