Laura Rankin's work experience begins in 2011 with a work experience placement at Observe Outside Broadcasting Ltd, where they served as an administrative assistant. In 2012, they had a work experience placement at Google, where they analyzed trends on various Google shopping platforms.

Starting in 2014, Laura worked as a sports coach, coaching field hockey and athletics in primary schools and sports clubs in Dublin. Laura also coached at multi-sport camps at Trinity Sport and University College Dublin.

In 2016, Laura was elected as the Public Relations Officer for the Trinity College Geographical Society, where they managed media and communications. During their time there, they successfully boosted membership and overall engagement through rebranding the society's visual identity, enhancing their online presence, and photographing events.

In 2018, Laura did temporary work at MatchMind A/S.

From 2019 to 2020, Laura was a communications intern at Trinity College Dublin Sport. Their responsibilities included coordinating a streamlined communications strategy, preparing events and marketing campaigns, creating publications, news articles, and other media content, answering customer queries, and managing a customer relations database.

In 2021, Laura worked as a research intern at the European Parliament. Laura conducted research on the use of public and private urban space on Capel Street in Dublin and drafted a preliminary report based on their findings. Their research was conducted on behalf of Ciarán Cuffe MEP.

Most recently, in 2022, Laura started working at BIYU in an operations role. No end date has been provided for this position.

Laura Rankin received their Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Sociology from Trinity College Dublin, where they studied from 2014 to 2019. In 2020, they obtained the Adobe Certified Associate in Visual Design Using Adobe Photoshop from Adobe. Currently, Laura is pursuing a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning. Laura is expected to graduate in 2023.
