Richard Elbert is the General Counsel at Bjarke Ingels Group. Richard was previously an attorney at Elbert Law Group, LLC and Of Counsel to John E. Osborn, PC from March 2007 to February 2017. Richard's practice focuses on construction law, representing owners, developers, design professionals, consultants and contractors in construction contracts, construction litigation, building defects, errors & omissions and delay claims, real estate, zoning & land use matters. Richard has trial and arbitration experience.

Previously, Richard was a partner and construction law attorney at Law Offices of Richard Elbert/Rea & Elbert from January 2002 to December 2007.

Richard Elbert received their Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law, their Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech, and their Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
