Melanie Lapidus

Vice President Managed Care at BJC HealthCare

Melanie Lapidus worked at home from 2023 until now as a retired individual. Prior to their retirement, they worked at BJC Healthcare starting in 1997. At BJC Healthcare, they held multiple roles, including Vice President Managed Care, where they were responsible for managing a contract portfolio of over 3 billion dollars. melanie also played a key role in transforming the case management/care coordination function and leading BJC's response to Medicare's RAC short stay initiative. Additionally, they were responsible for the contracting functions for BJC's ACO. Earlier in their career at BJC Healthcare, Melanie served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel.

Melanie Lapidus attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law from 1981 to 1984 and earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree. Prior to that, they studied economics and psychology at Washington University in St. Louis, earning their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.
