Roman Scheffler

Roman Scheffler has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Roman is currently working at BKK·VBU as the Leiter vbu.digital | CDO, responsible for digital products and marketing. Prior to this, they held the position of Interim CIO/CDO at the same company. Roman was also the Head of Platform for App/Web Development and User Research & Design at BKK·VBU. Before joining BKK·VBU, they worked at sinnaptic GmbH as the director of sinnaptic labs. Roman also gained experience at acondas GmbH as a Project Manager and Senior Project Consultant. Roman started their career as a Consultant at m3 management consulting GmbH. Prior to that, they worked at Allolio & Konrad as a Senior Consultant, where they were involved in service design planning and implementation. Roman has also interned at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), University of Bremen, Heinrich Boell Foundation, and HSBC in various roles.

Roman Scheffler completed their education at various institutions and obtained several certifications. Roman attended Hermann Böse Gymnasium from 1999 to 2006, where they received their Abitur degree in Economics and English. Roman then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business with East European Studies at UCL from 2007 to 2011. During the academic year 2008-2009, they studied abroad at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA Russia MGIMO, focusing on International Relations. In 2011-2012, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and obtained their MSc degree in Philosophy of the Social Sciences.

In addition to their formal education, Roman Scheffler obtained various certifications. Roman completed the Google UX Design Professional Certificate from Coursera in December 2021. In January 2020, they received a Crash Course on Python certification from Coursera. In May 2019, they obtained the Business Agility and Innovation Leader certification from Shiftup. Roman also completed the Elements of AI course offered by the University of Helsinki and Reaktor in August 2018. Additionally, they hold certifications in Scaled Professional Scrum, Professional Scrum Master I, ITIL Foundation, and Prince2 Practitioner, although the specific details regarding the months and years of completion for the last two certifications are not provided.
