Anna Sophia Wallerand

Anna Sophia Wallerand is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in asset management and energy systems. Currently serving as Senior Manager Asset Information at BKW AG since August 2020, Wallerand develops strategies for asset management information and oversees digitalization projects. In addition to the role at BKW, Wallerand works as an expert with Innosuisse and previously conducted research at the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, where significant contributions were made to projects focused on energy efficiency and carbon mitigation. Academic achievements include a PhD focused on industrial energy systems, numerous publications, and development of innovative tools for optimizing energy processes. Prior experience encompasses roles as an R&D Engineer at AIRLIGHT ENERGY and a research fellow at ETH Zürich, complemented by early involvement as Treasurer for EESTEC. Wallerand holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich.
