Markus Hostettler

Markus Hostettler has over two decades of experience in the energy trading and financial sectors, currently serving as the Head of the Solution Center for Energytrading at BKW AG since September 2000, with prior roles in risk management and energy trading. Before joining BKW AG, Markus worked as a Derivatives Trader at Berner Kantonalbank from October 1998 to March 2000 and began a career at the same bank as a Lehrling/Sachbearbeiter from 1990 to 1995. Markus holds multiple degrees, including a CAS in Creative Leadership and Transformation in the Digital Age from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (2022-2023), an EMBA in Integrated Management with several additional CAS certifications from Berner Fachhochschule BFH (2012-2014), an Eidg. Dipl. Finanzanalyst und Vermögensverwalter from AZEK, Zürich (2001-2002), and a Betriebsökonom HWV from Höhere Wirtschafts- und Verwaltungsschule in Bern (1995-1998).
