Yamshid Farhat

Yamshid Farhat is an experienced technology and AI leader, currently serving as the Head of Technology & AI at both BKW AG and Endaprime by BKW since February 2013 and August 2021, respectively. With a focus on developing digital solutions for efficient electric distribution networks, Yamshid excels in advanced analytics, automation, and machine learning. Previous roles include Smart Grid Engineer and Data Scientist in Grid Analytics, alongside research efforts as a PhD student at the University of Bern. Educational credentials include multiple engineering degrees specializing in Wind Power Systems and Energy Engineering from Aalborg University and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Additional experience spans project design in solar energy systems and commercial roles with Microsoft during a product launch.
