Sam Lumetta began their career in 1989 at General Motors, where they held a variety of roles, including Engineering Group Manager, Quality and Shainin Red X Problem Solving, Vehicle Launch Manager, and Expat - Midsize SUV. In 2005, they became Global Program Engineering Manager - Crossover SUV and Compact Car, where they directed a team of eight managers and 40 engineers with program budgets of up to $340MM. In 2010, Sam moved to Hendrickson as Senior Engineering Manager, Military, Specialty Vehicle and Front Suspension Products. In 2012, they took on the role of Country Manager of Mexico Operations and Director of Corporate Engineering at UGN, Inc. Sam then moved to Oregon Tool in 2014, where they held the role of Vice President, Engineering and Research & Development. Finally, in 2022, Sam became Chief Technology Officer at Black Box VR.
Sam Lumetta has a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Engineering from Purdue University, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University, and has taken a Design for Manufacturing/Design for Assembly Course at Stanford University and an Engineering Law and Ethics Course at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
