Kannan Ramaiah

Kannan Ramaiah has a strong and diverse background in human resources, with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Kannan is currently the Global Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Black Box, where they focus on shaping employee-centric practices and building business-aligned strategies. Prior to their current role, they served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Americas, Europe, and India at Black Box.

Before joining Black Box, Kannan held the position of Global Head of iDEAS GSH Human Resources at Wipro Technologies. In this role, they led regional and global portfolios, implementing programmatic interventions that were sustained over a decade.

Furthermore, Kannan served as the Senior Manager of Corporate HR at Mphasis, where they were responsible for designing a progressive compensation strategy and establishing benefits policies aligned with business objectives. During their tenure at Satyam, they served as the Deputy Manager of Human Resources, acting as an HR Business Partner for the Banking and Financial Services Business Unit. At RealChip Communications, Kannan led the HR function as the HR Head of the India Development Center, focusing on building a cohesive team and nurturing innovative people practices.

Lastly, they served as the Human Resources Manager at Igenesis Software Services, where they oversaw HR and administration for the development center and training institutions, ensuring employee engagement and regulatory compliance. Overall, Kannan Ramaiah's extensive work experience showcases their expertise in strategic HR management and their ability to drive organizational growth.

Kannan Ramaiah completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology in 1995. Kannan then pursued an MBA in Human Resources & Information Technology from Bharathiar University from 1995 to 1997. In 2019, Kannan attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology for a program focused on AI, Cloud, IoT, Cyber, Digital Transformation & Blockchain. Kannan recently completed the Advanced Human Resources Executive Program from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 2021.
