Martin Smith

Martin Smith is an accomplished engineering and project management professional with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as Associate VP of Engineering and Project Management for the 5G Group at Black Box Network Services since February 2012, Martin oversees the delivery of Inbuilding Wireless Solutions and manages a large team of engineers and project managers. Previously, as Director of Engineering at InnerWireless, Martin led a team responsible for deploying DAS and WLAN solutions, while also overseeing CAD and sales engineering. Martin's earlier roles include Sales Engineer at Metawave Corporation and Engineering Manager at Andrew Corporation, where extensive international DAS and tunnel projects were managed. Additionally, Martin contributed to the development of the first trunked radio system in the UK at Ascom Sweden AB and designed various devices at maxon and Motorola Solutions. Martin holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from King's College London and the University of London, respectively.
