Joseph Workman

Joseph Workman has over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, procurement, and trade operations. Joseph began their career in 1989 as a Procurement Co-op/Intern at Pratt & Whitney. In 1990, they were hired as a Purchasing Manager at OSi/LaPorte Construction Chemical Company, which was acquired by Henkel. Joseph then joined Altria in 1998, where they held various Sales & Trade Marketing/Customer Marketing positions. In 2007, they were promoted to General Manager (Managing Director), responsible for setting the strategic direction and achieving sales & profit objectives in Altria’s $300MM+ Travel Retail and International/U.S. Territories business. Joseph then held the role of Director, Trade Marketing (Customer Marketing) for 3 different categories (8+ brands), leading the strategic design, planning & communication for all promotion programs, new products and in-store merchandising for distributors and c-store, drug, grocery & mass merchants retailers. In 2015, they joined Logic Technology Development, LLC as Director National Accounts and Director, Trade Marketing, where they were responsible for building a new Strategy & Insights team to analyze & identify strategic opportunities, provide reporting on business performance and deliver custom analysis supporting Sales team. In 2019, they joined JTI (Japan Tobacco International) as Director, Consumer & Trade Marketing. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Cobblestone Consulting as President, providing sales & marketing consulting for small CPG companies seeking to launch or expand their business in the U.S. In 2022, they will join Black Buffalo Inc. as Vice President Trade Marketing & Sales Operations, with the goal of growing the Herd by developing and leading trade strategies to expand Black Buffalo across different channels in the U.S.

Joseph Workman has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from The University of Texas at Austin in Marketing/Marketing Management, General. Joseph also attended National University of Singapore, and holds a Bachelor's Degree from University of Hartford in Business Administration and Management, General. Joseph has also obtained a Certified Purchasing Manager certification from the National Association of Purchasing Management, Inc.
