Isabella Thurmond

Student Ambassador at BLACK GIRLS CODE INC.

Isabella Thurmond has been actively involved in various roles that combine technology and community impact since 2011. Currently serving as a Volleyball Referee for NCVA since April 2016, Isabella also holds the position of Student Ambassador for Black Girls CODE, contributing to multiple events and programs within the organization. With experience as an AI Intern at AI4ALL and a Software Programming Intern at Shutterstock, Isabella has developed programming skills and participated in initiatives that support underrepresented groups in technology. Additional experiences include participation in Google's Computer Science Summer Institute, iD Tech Camps, and the Emerging Innovators Program at Children's Innovation Center. Isabella is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science at San Francisco State University, scheduled to graduate in 2026, while demonstrating key qualities in customer satisfaction, time management, organization, and trend tracking.
