Shawn Cisna

Chief of Police at Black Hawk College

Shawn Cisna began their law enforcement career in 1994 as a patrol deputy with the Henderson County Sheriff's Office. Shawn served in that role for five years before moving to Black Hawk College, where they have served as Chief of Police since 1999.

Shawn Cisna is currently a Doctor of Education - EdD - student in Human Resources Development at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Prior to this, they completed a Police Staff and Command program at Northwestern University in the field of public safety. Shawn also holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Law Enforcement Justice Administration from Western Illinois University.
