Jeffrey Wheatman

Jeffrey Wheatman has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and risk management. Jeffrey is currently working at Black Kite as the SVP, Cyber Risk Evangelist, where they serve as an industry thought leader and subject matter expert in identifying, evaluating, and mitigating third-party risk. Prior to this, they spent 16 years at Gartner, starting as a Vice President, Research & Advisory in Cybersecurity and Risk Management. During their time at Gartner, they maintained knowledge of trends in cybersecurity and technology risk management, authored research, and delivered presentations and strategic advisory services to senior leaders. Before Gartner, they worked at Gotham Technology Group as a Practice Manager, Information Security, where they provided sales support, project management oversight, and risk assessments for information security project implementations. Jeffrey also worked at ThruPoint as a Principal Consultant, where they conceptualized and implemented information security methodologies and led risk management and security projects. Furthermore, they co-founded Bruteforce Security, where they served as the Chief Security Officer and Principal Consultant, developing relationships with senior-level executives and creating and analyzing information security policies.
