Omer Arslan

Omer Arslan has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Omer is the Co-Founder of multiple companies, including National Cyber Group, LetsDefend, CyberNow Labs, and Black Kite. Prior to this, they held roles as a Sr. Manager and Manager of Security Operations at Peraton and Perspecta respectively. Omer also worked as a Manager of Security Operations and a Global Incident Response Manager at IBM. Earlier in their career, they served as an Information Security Engineer at Al Baraka Banking Group and a CIRT Specialist at Ingersoll Consulting Inc / Department of Housing and Urban Development. Omer began their career as a SOC Analyst at MarkMonitor.

Omer Arslan completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Shepherd University, from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Psychological Counselling and Guidance from Uludag University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Omer Arslan has acquired several certifications in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. These certifications include COBIT 5 Foundation from ISACA, obtained in June 2014; Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council, obtained in October 2013; CISSP from (ISC)², obtained in June 2017; GCTI from GIAC Certifications, obtained in July 2018; and Security+ from CompTIA, obtained in July 2012.
