Shelly Severson

Shelly Severson is currently the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at Black River Memorial Hospital. Prior to that, they worked as an Emergency Department Technician at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire from September 2014 to April 2015. From January 2017 to December 2018, they were a Physician Assistant Resident at Aurora Health Care. Shelly has also worked for Black River Falls EMS and Sparta Area Ambulance. From May 2013 to May 2014, they were a Biology Research Associate for the USDA at the Dairy Forage Research Center at UW-Madison, studying and collecting switchgrass and forage samples for the USDA.

Shelly Severson's educational career began with their earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Shelly then went on to complete a Physician Assistant Emergency Medicine Fellowship from Marquette University. After that, they earned a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Concordia University-Wisconsin. Finally, they obtained a certification in EMT-Basic from Madison Area Technical College.
